We shot Suite 16 at the Preston Brook Premier Travel Inn in Runcorn. We found that this was a prime location, as it was a particularly nondescript hotel, which would mean it could apply to any hotel - not specific to one location. This also meant that it would tap into the audience's confidence - they are encouraged to think that it could happen in their hotel. This in turn means that they feel more involved with the film and would get more scared and worried, as it adds a sense of realism to the opening.
